Here's another circa 1910 shutter. This is a B&L-Zeiss Tessar IIb in its original Volute shutter with the mounting flange. The shutter is machined aluminum and very attractive, its cleaner than most Volutes one finds today.
Focal length: 8 inches (210mm)
Maximum f-stop: f6.3
Coverage: 5x8 inches (will probably cover larger format)
Lens condition: 9/10
Shutter condition: All functions work. I do not have a shutter time, 3sec sounds fast and 1/100 sounds slow to the ear
This would be a great long lens for 4x5 (same focal length as the legendary Kodak Ektar 210) and f6.3 Tessars very well regarded. I have not shot with this lens, but would expect it to have crisp but smooth highlights, and a rather creamy bokeh.
Thanks for looking!
