This f/6.1 210mm Caltar-Pro is Calumet's house-branded version of the Schneider Xenar. These were Schneider's "low-cost" option, single-coated and using a simpler optical design than the ubiquitous plasmats, but they're no slouches when it comes to performance (look up Chris Perez's tests on the web if you want to see numbers). Schneider claims a 249mm image circle at f/22, good for movements on 5x7. It's small and reasonably light (375 grams), and accepts puny 46mm filters.

This one is really clean with no obvious coating marks, haze, or fungus, and comes with caps and the retaining ring. I see no dents, dings, scuffs, or other marks. If it weren't for the very minor internal dust it might well pass for new. Carol Flutot CLA'd the shutter in June 2012, and I've exercised it periodically since it returned home. My Calumet tester says it's within 1/3 stop from 1 second to 1/125, and about 2/3 stop slow at 1/250 and 1/400; overall this is really good for a Copal 1.

This is a really nice lens in outstanding condition, and I should keep it, but I have far more 210s than I realistically need so this one is looking a new home where it'll get more use.

Given the excellent condition and fairly recent CLA I think $250 plus insured shipping is a fair asking price. Let's see if you agree.

This is a good hiker/backpacker 210, being around 4oz lighter and a lot smaller than your usual f/5.6 plasmat like the Apo-Sironar-N or -S, Apo Symmar, Computar Symmetrigon (not really a plasmat, but big and surprisingly heavy), or Fujinon-W. And remember those small 46mm filters!
