Early models had the B20E engine with Bosch D-
Jetronic fuel injection and a revised camshaft, and produced 130 bhp
Later the B20F engine, 1960's models a B18 engine.
Standard coil and distributor.
Clean running engine required no smog equipment other than a crankcase breather.
Factory suspension is very much like the (stodgy) sedans however this one has been upgraded and no longer is a slouch nor stodgy:
Koni shocks plus competition coils at the rear and sway bars front and rear.
Steering is fine and has 195/65-15 tyres fitted.
I drove one with 225/45 and it cornered well at speed but took much more effort to to parallel park lacking power steering.
Not much else sold in the states that compared. In Europe of course there was the Reliant Scimitar plus Jensen Interceptor & GT models
