This is what it is, I hate to part with it, but I have collected so much stuff that I don't need around here.

I have a kid heading toward college, and I should just invest this money?

Look at the photos I think it is neat.

Is there that much of a premium on Nikon-brand filters from the '60's? I am asking in all seriousness, because I have several that I would have sold years ago if I could have got $90 a pop for them!

I dunno... I have NEVER seen a box in ANY condition. It's all about that cool box to me.

Yes, chrome rim filters in NKT jewel cases with original box do command a premium. I tried to get mostly chrome rim filters for my LTM 105/2.5, but didn't obsess over it. But I did get all early ones with engraved (not silkscreen) markings.

Mine are chrome rimmed in jewel cases, but the boxes are gold. This fellow's box is much more interesting.
