14 inch f6.3 Commercial Ektar in Ilex 5 shutter with retaining flange. Ever since I owned this lens the shutter has been stuck open and I used it with a lens cap as the shutter on my 8X10. I do not know what the problem could be and I have never tried to have it fixed as I found the lens cap worked fine for the kind of photos I take. Maybe you will be able to fix it but I do not know if parts are missing or what the problem is. The aperture works fine and opens and closes and the blades are oil free. Glass is in good condition with cleaning wisps and dust specks and some mottling on the coating of the rear element. From he serial number OY on the lens it would appear to have been made in 1960. The commercial Ektars are fine lenses and much has been written about them. My price reflects the condition and it could be a great way to obtain a commercial Ektar at a good price.
