A friend's father passed away recently from Alzheimer's and she's asked me to sell a couple of his old photo items. First up is this fairly nice lens. The external surfaces are very clean, save for some residue where the JCII sticker used to be. The lens has the smoothest, silkiest focusing movement I've ever felt, period. Perhaps Leica lenses are like this, I wouldn't know. The two-part built-in lens shade works smoothly. The external glass is very clean but there's some internal edge hazing that's obscured by f/8 or so. Disassembly and cleaning is unfortunately beyond me. The case is a little worn from use but is intact. It comes with the original rear cap and a HOYA UV filter mounted on the front (it unscrews smoothly). From what I've been able to gather the is the first version of this lens. Unfortunately the camera and 50mm-ish lens disappeared at the hands of one of several home healthcare aides
