This is a specialized lens intended for close-up use with 4x5 and perhaps 5x7. It uses ED glass and is optimized for 1:1 (life-size), where it has an image circle of 250mm at f/22. It does not cover 4x5 at infinity, but is brilliantly sharp in its intended macro range. It takes 52mm filters and weighs 295gm.
I purchase this lens new several years ago and have exposed maybe two dozen sheets of film with it, all but four in my house or backyard (the others were in the parking lot at my workplace). When not in use it lived in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment and the Copal 0 shutter was exercised periodically. Its in as-new condition and comes with caps, retaining ring, and the original box and papers including blank the US warranty card - the only things missing are the long-dead silica gel packet and the annoying little screw than Nikon puts on the back of their shutters (and everyone else tosses). Even the box looks new. I see no defects in the glass or coatings, and no marks on the shutter, which sounds correct on all speeds. If I hadnt admitted it was used, you might think it had never been removed from its box.
$425 plus trackable shipping insured for full value. Insured Priority Mail within the continental US is $16. International shipping is expensive. For example, EMS to France or Czech Republic is about $42, which you can use as a fairly accurate estimate for most of Europe. I will not undervalue on customs forms as this prevents me from buying proper insurance, nor will I ship without insurance.
