I have six 11x14 Burke & James film holders for sale. 4 are used, but in very good condition. The other two are new/old stock and have not been use. The NOS holders come in their original boxes. One has been opened to photograph; the other remains in its original wrapper in the box. All are pictured below. One side shown; the flip side is very similar for each.
I admit that in the past I've been guilty of turning my nose up at some of the Burke & James equipment. But not so these film holders. They are robust and very well made. I've used film holders by AWB, S&S and Lotus and I'd venture to say that these are as good as any out there, although perhaps not as pretty as some of those mentioned. Construction is wood with aluminum being used for the light trap covers which are held on with four Phillips head screws each, allowing access if service is required.
The four used holders do show wear from insertion. And the dark slides show some wear patterns as well. (Please see the photos). But all are solid reliable holders. I'm asking $235 for each of the used holders and $280 for each of the NOS holders plus shipping/insurance and PayPal fee. If someone wants all six, they're available as a lot for $1295 plus shipping/insurance and PayPal fee. Please PM or (there was a url link here which no longer exists).
