I've decided to sell one of my two wide angle lenses. This is a 115mm f6.8 Rodenstock Grandagon-N in a Copal 1 shutter in very good condition. Image circle of 291, covers 105 degrees, offers CONSIDERABLE movement for 5x7 and allows you to bend your 4x5 into that lovely pretzel shape you've seen in camera catalogues. (Supposedly it will cover 8x10 at close distances, but I have only used it with 5x7.) There is some edge distortion with this design, despite what Rodenstock says, but it is less significant on 4x5 (and can be corrected with movements, to some extent, on 5x7).
On the metal rim of the rear, there are some patches of lost paint, but there is no evidence of rust or corrosion. There are a few spots of coating loss, each smaller than a millimeter, on the front and rear glass which look like the result of an overzealous cleaning, but the glass is otherwise immaculate and the Copal 1 shutter functions perfectly. I'm selling this simply because I hardly ever use it (I tend toward longer lenses, and I have a nice 300mm Nikon that I bought on this forum that is my go-to lens), and it's taking up much needed space in my kit bag.
Comes with a Hoya 82mm K2 (light yellow) filter -- if you don't need or want the filter, I will drop $15 off the price. Sorry but I don't have caps for this (I have kept it in a bubble wrap bag, and that is how I will ship it).
Asking $325 OBO shipped within the continental US. PayPal only, please.
