I have a rather frustrating problem.
I'm trying to print some calendar pages, and for this I got some Inkpress satin (between glossy and matte) double-sided paper. My first tests on this paper using the "HP soft-gloss" paper setting or something like that gave beautiful results, but when I printed the calendar part on one side and then went back for the photo part on the opposite side, all of them have a horrendous set of scratches, horizontal (in the direction of the print head motion) toward either
edge, worse toward the left side as the paper comes out.
These appear to be physical scratches on the paper, almost a gouge.
Here's a close-up scan of one of the prints:
The normal Ilford paper (single sided) which I usually use works just fine.
Anybody seen this one? Any work-arounds.
I admit I don't know much about paper profiles, so I suspect I may be using the wrong one, but any suggestions would be appreciated so I don't waste yet more paper and ink trying blind stabs in the dark
TIA.
