First I’d like to thank several of the Russian members on this forum for researching the seller and helping me out - I wouldn’t have gone through with this purchase without your help - a big THANK YOU !! And I’m very glad I did - after being stuck in Canadian customs for the last 10 days I finally received the camera and it is in even better condition than in the photos! The seller did a great job packing the camera and it arrived in perfect condition - and it basically looks like new
I did have a few moments of panic and several sleepless nights but I also learned a lot about Russia and even started teaching myself the Russian language - so this has been a really great experience! I also highly recommend checking out Bald and Bankrupt’s YouTube channel for a peak into Russian culture.
For all of those of you that had been wondering, it’s a Horseman SW617 Professional with 72mm and 90mm Super Angulon XL lenses. And a super cool custom made pinhole adapter (which I have no idea how to use). Also included are the ground glass adapter, center filter, and a whole set of Cokin graduated neutral density filters, filter holder and lens shade.
sometimes I pick things on Avito. And by now there's a Horseman SW617 sold by Photosale (https://photosale.ru) , a shop on the southern part of ring 2 in Moskva, for 600.000rub:
Yes - I don’t think they made very many. I was considering a Fuji or Linhof but the Horseman has built-in shift. It was listed on GetDPI by a private seller in Saint-Petersburg.
