Only recently discovered this site.(I can’t believe I didn’t find it earlier!) It’s very refreshing to find a digital free photography site. I have always worked in photo labs, from B&W darkroom work (back in the ‘80’s!) to various mini-labs. I am currently running a small mini-lab, but I am not sure how long that’s going to last! (These seem to be dark times as far as film is concerned.)
I did spend a few years using various digital cameras, (I even started selling my darkroom stuff, - damn!) but found it unsatisfying, and now use only film, 35mm & medium format. I appreciate the quality of film now more than ever. I hope to set up my darkroom again, (with some dirt-cheap equipment).
Any way it is great to find this site, I am not an expert in anything, but I do know a little about Noritsu mini-lab equipment! (analog & digital - especially models 1501, 2611 & 3001).

Cheers!

Hi Samuel,

Welcome aboard. You better watch out, there is quite an active group of APUG members in Melbourne. I travel to Victoria myself almost every year. This is a great place to hang out.

Hello and welcome to Apug Samuel from just next door in Sth. Aust.

Welcome Samuel, I'm another newcomer from Melbourne, over in the eastern suburbs. I'm still trying to cope with the number of discussions happening here.

Welcome from the English side of the Scottish Borders, you've found the best photographic community on the web or anywhere else for that matter.

Hey, thanks for all the replies. Seems there's a few Melbournians lurking around here!

there are... there's a couple that haven't replied/welcomed you yet!

Yes, there are quite a few of us now. We will try to organise some kind of get-together very soon. On January 2nd we had a get-together in the Grampians, but a couple of the Melbournians and at least one interstater couldn't get there. We nearly organised something on January 16th, but that didn't happen. So, we will do something soon.

wyno

Welcome from Mike in Geelong. Watch out for old biker Pete as well, he'll tell you that the map shows it's all downhill

Welcome from an ex-Melbournian (now in Kalgoorlie, WA). I know you'll enjoy it around here.

Mike, for Pete, it really is all downhill but he doesn't need a map to work that out!

Cheers,
Graeme

Welcome from another Melburnian.

Perhaps there will be more than a few of us going to the Camberwell Photographic Flea Market, on Sunday the 12th of March.

That could be a way of meeting up, spending time and money in a very pleasant way?

Mick.

Hi from Melbourne. I've been away from the forum for a number of weeks now but it's nice to see the AU gang growing. If a Melbourne meet can be arranged I'd be in, my vehicle problems are now behind me.
