Freezer down...what to do now?

My old beater of a freezer just gave up the ghost and I have 3 grocery bags full of thawing rolled and bulk film.It's replacement will be here in about 8 hrs.
What should I do until then? No room in the food fridge.

don't fret - just bag it

Put it in sealed plastic bags. That way the condenstaion will form on the outside of the bags, and not inpregnate the cardboard of the film/paper packaging.

A short warm up won't matter a bit.

Ever notice how these things only happen during warm breaks. All winter the thing worked fine.

A few hours of thawing won't matter. You can freeze film as many times as you like, from my experience. Just keep it in sealed plastic bags until it's warm and only open it then.

Oh dear! You do realise that you'll have to shoot all this film within 10 days & you can't put it back into a freezer, it'll dissolve? I suppose I could take some of it off your hands, for a consideration. PM me.

New freezer with a photographic twist.

After posting about my freezer woes and ordering one from a "big box" store I visited my local camera shop. While chatting with the manager he mentioned that his tec. man (also a Mike) had a brother who owned an appliance dealership.
To make a long story short I cancelled my first order,bought one from Mike's brother (saved $45..) and his lads took the old unit away (cost a box of Moosehead).

All's well

And here I thought that all of his film had become just a puddle on the floor!

Worst case scenario you'd have had to eat all that good film so it wouldn't go to waste.
