Just got the Freestyle newsletter (I had subscribed to it, apparently) - and it mentioned revival of printing. While there was a nod to darkroom as well, there was the emphasis(or extended mention) on how more people were printing from digital as well - as an industry snapshot.

Quoting the intro:

I wonder if it holds for analog printing as well, personally, I know I do both now, but does it hold for an industry analysis that darkroom prints are growing too?

PS: I thought it might be under the product forum, please move if wrongly posted.

I don't think the average photographer is going to print with analog methods. Analog printing is slowly becoming a fine art process. This makes analog prints special. The fine art world has also accepting inkjet prints as a valid medium also. The good news is that some university art departments are teaching analog photography and printing.

I disagree. I think the average photographer is using analog processes and the average snapshooter is using digital.
