Freestyle Photographic Supplies is proud to announce a premiere black and white photographic exhibition: "Three Generations of Weston Photography". This exhibit runs from September 27 until December 3rd, 2007 at the gallery of the Creative Center for Photography in Hollywood, California.

This is the first time that such a collection of photographic images have been assembled for exhibition: the works of Edward, Brett and Kim Weston. Edward Weston’s images alone would be cause enough for celebration, as he has been called "The most influential American photographer of the 20th century". His son Brett picked up right where he left off, creating his own body of master works. Today, Brett’s nephew Kim continues to advance the Weston family legacy, holding fine-art photography workshops in the Carmel Highlands of Northern California.

• Artist Reception with Kim Weston: Meet Kim Weston on September 27 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm. No reservations required. Admission is Free.
• Exhibit Hours: Monday through Friday 9:00–6:00. Sat 9:30–4:30. Sun. Closed

Wow. Went to see the opening at Freestyle yesterday, and I have to say I was quite impressed. The amount of images in the exhibit is quite high, and the quality...well, let's just say that when you look at an Edward Weston pepper or shell, full-on and eye-level, you begin to understand what photographic perfection is. Not to take anything away from Brett or Kim's work, either--fantastic stuff in its own right. Kim was there, gregarious and open as ever. Overall a great show, definitely worth a look--especially since it's free.

Note: the EW pieces were printed by Cole (and one by Kim, IIRC). A drop in monetary value, yes...but certainly no drop in quality.
