Hello all-
I'm offering, for free, a non-working G70 enlarger. Receiver pays shipping ($30 and up, I imagine) or picks up in Wilmington, Del. I'm hoping it can be fixed or used for parts and kept out of a landfill. I've no inclination to try to fix and use it myself - I lack the expertise and space and have other enlargers to use. It might be a simple fix, or not.
It's a Fujimoto G70 computer enlarger with 50 mm nikkor. No film carrier. One or more small screws are missing from where the negative carrier goes, the handle of the opening for the negative carrier is broken, a carrier can still be fit inside, just by opening the housing with your fingers rather than the lever. A few of the cords are pulled from their plugs partly, but not seemingly so bad as to be the root of the issue. The exposure sensor appears to be missing its face, there are exposed components on it as if the top were missing. Instruction manual included.
Here's the basic story:
I took this enlarger home as surplus from a closed darkroom several years ago, it had last been used several years before that. It had seen moderate to heavy use, but is pretty solid and intact. I used it once sometime ago in the time it was with me, and it worked fine then (for b/w, didn't test the color capabilities), but I pulled it out recently and it was dead. I don't think it is as simple as a bad bulb, it is just completely unresponsive, perhaps an issue with the power supply (fuse?).
(I'm guessing it would be about 30 pounds or more packed up. I reside in 19802.)
