Did a brief search and did not see any reference to this free resource, so I thought I would post it here...

Digging through a couple of hundred gigs of data that I backed-up from my work desktop just before leaving, I found a link I had saved with the intent of posting on APUG some time ago.

You can download a free copy of Henry Wilhelm's, "Dead Link Removed".

It is 758 pages and almost 80 MB, so be forewarned.

Just a FYI...

Thanks for that, though your link goes to a page that also includes the individual chapters (approx 2mb - 15mb) so maybe not as painful....

With reports like this I wonder why I still buy, collect (or hoard?) tons of books…

(irony detector on maxium)

Assuming you are like me I DETEST reading texts from a monitor and would rather take a beating than spend extended time reading something in native book from from an electronic screen.

I can only take it for about 15 minutes at a time before I bail-out.

Yes, tar me with the Luddite brush, I don't care, its hard to enjoy reading from a monitor.

Back to our regularly scheduled program...

Kino, I was thinking of some ironic reply; couldn't think of one as you just reflected my very own perception of this.

Back to my daily routine, shoving my book crates around.
