Ok I lied, but short of posting in the Soap Box I don't know how to get you folks to read this...

Good Day,
I need help distributing APUG Conference posters and brochures in these areas.

OH
MI
Western, Central, Upstate NY
Chicago,
Wis.
Min.
and Pennsylvania

We are looking to have them on display in Photo Labs, Camera Shops, Photography schools and Camera Clubs.

If you think you could help please post here (to help keep this thread on top) and send me a list of locations and your address.

For those who I have an address I will be sending your Packet of goodies Monday.

We have Rochester, Romulus, and Niagara Falls NY covered.
We need to still cover Buffalo.

We have Dayton and Cleveland OH.
We need Toledo and Columbus

We Have Merrillville Ind.
Indianapolis would be nice

Highland Park Ill is covered.
We Need help in Chicago

Detroit Mi is good
We need Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and Kzoo

I'd also like to hit Pen, Madison, Wis. and the twins of Min

Just to clarify, the locations I volunteered to cover are in Buffalo. There's only one local arts center in Niagara Falls I'd approach, but only if you send extra posters. Niagara Falls (US side) is dead.

I've already talked to one of the Buffalo labs and they were very enthusiastic.

Bill,

I spoke to the manager of Arday a couple of weeks ago when I asked them to put a poster up in there Troy store. He's happy to do it. I only had the one poster and he was looking for more for the other stores. I was going to bring some more this week as well as flyers. But if you are going to get the posters and flyers to them I'll hit some stores in the burb's north of Detroit where I'm staying for the next few weeks. The only thing is I'm 'not from 'round here' and only know of Arday. So if any one can think of any, please let me know.

Twin Cities

I can help out with the Twin Cities. I can bring them to NatCam (at least 3 stores), West Photo, and at MCAD. My advanced photo class at MCAD also has a number of wealthy students who would be great prospects for the conference.

I want the free Hassey SWC...

I can put up posters in the Photo department at Penn State University (central PA), and also in the photo store downtown if you are interested. I may also be able to get one in the Lock Haven University photo department, and a few others.

My suggestion is that if you don't get any help here send the posters and stuff with a letter to the following places:

The Print Lab
Evanston Art Center
Photography Depatment of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Photography Department of Columbia College

These links should cover a large part of the film photography demographics in Chicago.

Michael, I live right by the Dearborn store and know the crew there pretty well. I'm sure if I pass a few to them they can get them to the Canton store.

If you would like, you can send some out to me and I will be happy to take them to the college, and the two remaining stores in the area that deal with more than the regular one hour stuff, one of our stores here is very devoted to B&W as well as traditional and he also teaches the classes at the college.

National Camera Exchange - perhaps 6 locations: Edina, Golden Valley, Roseville, Maple Grove for sure. If the other two are not too far out, I can get there too.
