I believe the first ones are yukk green http://www.oresteen.com/bess23c.htm
some time in the 90s, Beseler had a contest to find the oldest 23C still in use.
Just a suggestion - add the words "enlarger" and "free" to your thread title.
Some of your target "market" may not know that a Beseler 23 is an enlarger, and people viewing on a phone may not notice the sub-forum's name.

If somebody does not know a Beseler is an enlarger.......are you talking about a very new member (at least where film is concerned) that is thinking about learning the darkroom for the very first time.?
I have NO Idea, at all, what you are talking about regards the phone thing.

No, not making fun at all!
Beseler makes/made a whole bunch of things, not just enlargers. Someone may not recognize Beseler 23 as referring to an enlarger if they are new to the darkroom, or from a place outside North America where Beseler enlargers are rare.
And if you have ever accessed Photrio on a browser incorporated smart phone you would understand how relatively little of the site is easily seen on those little screens.
