Ray;
If you have a glass plate holder it can take glass plates. It is an ordinary 4x5 camera.
PE
I have never seen one.
Can it be made to take glass plates?

Hey PE..!! ,
I want to have your camera.
I have a ww2 japanese torture camp canon 1000 f.
I would like to have your camera.
Best ,
umut
Any 4x5" camera can be used to take glass plates. All you need is a glass plate holder, which can be either a Linhof Universal Film&Plate holder ("mit Auswerfer"), which unfortunately won't take the thick Slavich plates, or a single-plate holder with adapter. Linhof made some of those too, and I happen to have one right here for 9x12cm plates in any camera with an international back.
Two were given to me by a friend to get me started.

I'd pay shipping for a Cadet. I have been considering building by own view camera since I don't have much money to throw at one right now. I live near a camera shop with a good selection of used lenses and I am sure they could fix me up with something to start on.
Vaughn;
Yes, it could go to the University, but first dibs goes to APUG, then to and APUG member and you certainly qualify. I just have to get Sean & company to say ok.

I have never seen one.

1. You must attend the free workshop in Salt Lake at Wasatch Photographic. Sat. Sept, 6th 10 AM to 4PM.
2. You must be new to Large Format to enter. No old LF pros looking to collect another camera. We want to give newbie a chance.
You need more cameras as little as I do. BTW Wasatch is providing doughnuts for saturday.
