In my continued quest to tempt fate and throw caution to the wind, I'm again offering to loan some lenses if you want to try them for a few weeks. Maybe you are thinking of buying some and want to try them first or are too poor to buy much of anything and would like a change for a while.

Here's the deal - you pay shipping both ways, try not to ruin them, and send them back when you say you will. If you like the idea of messing with a lens you don't have to buy, then you can make a totally optional donation to Haiti Relief when you send it back. Most of these would probably be less than $8-9 priority in the US to ship. US and maybe Canada only due to cost and transport times.

Here's what I have to loan. I personally rely heavily on blu-tak and masking tape along with foam-filled poster board for my lens & board needs. If you're worried about messing with it, I'll blu-tak the sucker down for you...

** PM or EMAIL me if interested. Don't just post here or I likely won't see it **

For 4x5/5x7 - Darlot Rapide Hemispherique #1. 5 1/2" focal length. It fits into an old crappy Ilex shutter if you blu-tak it in, and I'll include the shutter for you. The shutter works on T,B, and seems to be ok from 100 down to 1, but definitely not 1/2 second or 1 second. The shutter has a rear retaining ring so you're good if you use the shutter on it

4x5/5x7/6 1/2 x 8 1/2: Bausch & Lomb McIntosh petzval with about 8" focal length, 7 1/2" image circle, around f5. Has flange to use and the focus knob thing. Would work on 8x10 if you want to capture the entire image circle

5/7, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2/ maybe 8x10: Scoville Waterbury meniscus; about 9" back focus. Classic American lens. Has flange. These are around f20 as is, but if you remove the rear glass and put it in another tube or ring, you get a great soft image at around f6. I'll blu-tack it into the metal ring and include a cap for it if you are worried about messing with the glass. Then you just tape or blu-tack the whole thing onto a board and have at it. It only weighs a few ounces.

5x7, 4x5: Darlot Landscape lens with rotating aperture stops. About 6" focal length, f10 max opening. Non-original flange included if you need it, or it is light enough to tape or blu-tack onto a board.
