Acquired a broken Instax 7 with a view toward ... modification
Mamiya C220 80mm, one of those cheap M65 focusing helicoids, Watameter RF. Eject still works just fine. Still have to properly dial in the distances on the helicoid though. I have a sheet of GG stuck on the inside of an empty instax pack to do it.

Annnd the monster itself ...

If Fuji is taking away Acros they need to make a real camera like this. AWESOME JOB!!!

Nice work. That's what instant photography should be.

That's the camera Fuji should have made! I've been playing with Instax wide in a large format camera, just to have a better lens and more film real estate for scanning. The film has nice colour, but is incredibly contrasty. I have been struggling with getting accurate exposures given the poor accuracy of the old shutters in my 50 year old lenses.

Thanks all,

Yes, it's crazy sensitive. The B&W stuff is even worse than the colour, even the slightest change can result in blown highlights or muddy grays.

Ultimately there's something gorgeous about an instax print, it's a little artifact all to itself, and if you nail the exposure and try to shoot in un-contrasty conditions it can really look good.

When I worked on the Kodak Kodamatic Instant Cameras we made them 'flash all the time' because the added fill flash greatly improved the prints. Do the Fuji Instax cameras offer fill flash?

Nice work! That lens looks like it was made to be there.

I've been trying to get consistent results on my 800/110a/600se Option8 conversion. There seems to be little room for error with the film, whereas there was plenty of wiggle room with peel apart.

Yeah, at least all the instax models I have always flash, no way to turn it off. I de-soldered the flash connection on this because I assume the flash is normally tailored toward the instax lens & selected aperture and what not.
