I’ve redesigned the Frankenstein camera body so it can be milled from a 20mm sheet of wood or POM, or 3D-printed, supporting 75-105mm lenses with full coverage for 6x8—I’ve even tested 135mm lenses with minimal corner darkening at 6x7. Revive classic lenses with this innovative medium format body—compatible with Mamiya RB67 6x7/6x8, Graflok 23 (with various holders for roll film, sheet film, or even glass plates), or Horseman 6x9 backs (Horseman 8exp back exposes 56x78mm due to 78mm-wide film gate). Salvage Tessar, Novar, Solinar, or Apotar optics from vintage folders like Zeiss Ikonta or Agfa Isolette. All 75-105mm lenses fully supported depending on image circle, covering up to 6x8. Precision-milled from hardwood, POM, or 3D-printed for flawless alignment and smooth focusing via M65 helicoids (17-31mm). For CNC manufacturing, use 2 20mm boards, plus M4 screws and M4 locknuts. STEP files are free for private non-commercial use. Eco-friendly upcycling meets modern reliability—capture stunning film shots affordably!

A further development stage on the way to a product.

The Miluka Zone Compact is now manufactured in a factory from POM – a highly durable plastic – and is compatible with 20 modern lenses from Fujinon, Schneider, Nikkor, and Rodenstock.

It supports lenses from 55 mm to 110 mm up to 6x9, as well as back parts like Horseman 6x9 and Mamiya RB67. Coming soon on Kickstarter!

Update:

The camera is now made from Aluminum 5052 and has an M65x1 thread on the body for the helicoid, making the front plate thinner. Lenses up to 135 mm are at least usable for 6x7, with full coverage up to 6x9 for up to 110 mm.

Greeting from Switzerland, Dragan
