Frame sizes in Germany

Hi,

I need to send a mounted print to Germany and wanted to know the standard frame sizes. The print itself will be 11 inches (28cm) and the overlay 16 inches (40cm)

The print will most likely be square.

the galerie frames i know here in austria (germany) are
30/40 cm
40/50 cm
50/60 cm

Unless you know they've got square frames, best bet would be 40x50cm - here in Britain, too, we're gradually changing to metric sizes (presumably as stocks of 16x20 inches etc. wear out).

Most of pre-made frames which look fairly good can be found in Habitat and Ikea, they all use strange european sizes!
