Hey All,
I just wanted let anyone who is interested know that there is still some Rodinal available in Quebec City.

Presto Photo on St Joseph East has about a dozen 500ml bottles in stock. They are $18CAD each (a bit, expensive, yes, but still less than $50 on eBay!!!).

I am in no way affiliated with Presto in any way, shape, or form, I just thought that anyone passing through Quebec City might find the info useful.

Cheers,
Kent

Lots here in Spain too. Not had a problem ordering 125 or 500 ml bottles...

I found some in Montréal for 12 or 15 CDN in a downtown photo shop, which even had a good deal of Agfa paper left. No APX 100 in 120 anywhere, though.

If you swing by Presto in Quebec city, say hi the the staff on my behalf, I used to work there !

Michel,
I looked at the Photoco website this AM and apparently they still have 100ft rolls of APX 100 left, but no 120 that I could see either. I did try APX 100 a while back and even after 100ft it never really grew on me. I went back to D-100 in Rodinal and really like it.

PJ,
I certainly will say 'hello!'

Cheers,
Kent

Hi MaxKent,

APX 100 is still in production in 35mm, I think. I have seen it available at numerous places, but I really liked it in 120 because it could bring out some sweet tonalities--35mm is a bit small for that. I might buy it just for the purpose of having a 100 ISO film in bulk roll, but I haven't yet finished testing some expired Plus-X Pan (before the 125PX!) to see if it's worth keeping.

"APX 100 is still in production in 35mm, I think."

There may still be APX 100 in the various supply pipelines, and warehoused in various places, but no, there is no more production of Agfa-branded films. Agfa Photo no longer exists as a going concern, and no one bought their film manufacturing plants. APX 100 is no more.

Best,

Wiggy
