Found this at a local Michael's Art Supply store for about a dollar.

Really does dry flat black and is good for touching up worn interior woodwork of a view camera.

I've been using this stuff for a few years. More expensive, but my small bottle will last a long time. It's like a black hole for light - light goes in and nothing comes out:

Last I heard, he got himself total exclusive use of Vantanablack, despite the fact that it was actually created for scientific purposes - thus denying its use to both the scientific community and every other creative on the planet.
When another creator came out with the "Pinkest Pink" (someone Semple? Stuart Semple? Anyway...) that creator decided that anyone can buy and use his PINK pigment, bar Kapoor. Nor could anyone else supply him with it. Naturally, Kapoor acquired some and flaunted it with an image of the pigment on his middle finger.

It's partly incredibly petty, but also quite telling about Kapoor as a human being to have deprived every other person from using the "blackest black" pigment.
It's not as though he was even it's creator.
That's all I know of him - not his artwork, just that he's an ass (the Americanism seems more apt in his case).

Of course, that's merely my opinion and I'd forgotten all about him until seeing the link to Black 3.0.

I was just using a matte black spray paint for the inside of pinhole cameras (precision not being a factor) and used some blackboard paint when I've needed to paint in smaller areas, but that's only because I had it on hand. Blackboard paint is a long way away from being the blackest black, but like your linked acrylic paint, Kino, it was cheap and it did the job. I can't see myself forking out $32 for any cameras I've owned/made.

Besides, I've no way of proving that I'm NOT Anish Kapoor!

The bottle I have will last for years. Drop in a bucket compared to other things that we buy that may not be as useful. If it prevents internal reflections leading to better contrast, then the $32 is worth it.

I have bought the black 2.0 from stuart semple. (sp?) Long answer is that it is not worth it at all.
1. It is not any blacker than any other flat black paint. Online videos showing no reflections speak more to the poor sensitivity of the video equipment used than anything else.
2. it flakes off easily and has poor adherence.
3. it is not flexible, if that makes any difference.

I would recommend Golden acrylic artist colors. Not too expensive in the small bottles and good quality.
