While cleaning the freezer, a chore I hate, I found two BRICKS of propacks of Vericolor II film and 2 100 ft rolls of Plus X pan. These date from about 1985 and were frozen solid for the entire time and are unopened.

Anyone want to have fun?

None for me, but PE sent me a propack of that VPSII 220, and though the negs looked noticeably magenta, they seem correctable at least by means that dare not speak their name on APUG, based on the proof sheets I got back from Duggal, which I thought were real contact sheets at first (actually, I was a little suspicious, since they are made in the file pages, but are sharper than they should be by that method), since they are exactly 1:1 and on Endura, but upon inspection with a loupe, I realize now that they are digital. I'm not printing RA-4 myself these days and haven't ordered any projection prints from these negs, so I don't know if they are correctable just by adjusting the filtration.

All PMs answered.

Here is the deal. I ship a propak or 1 100ft roll for postage. No guarantees. David, if you want more......

Thanks, Ron, but I think I'm stocked up for film at the moment.

Hehe. Can we do a pay-it-forward type thing?

I shoot mostly black and white now and I have tons of color film I don't plan to use. Most of it is slide, but I also have some old color 120 film that would be good for those of you who want to shoot color in a Holga.

I'll have to go through what I have tonight and see what all it is. I'll let everyone know.

Ok, to answer everyone, nothing is "sold" yet or shipped of course.

Two 35mm 100ft Plus-x still here in the freezer and a few dozen rolls of VII 120 or 220. All expired.

I do not use paypal or credit cards due to attempts to crack all of my accounts about 3 years ago. The crooks got all but the last 4 numbers and there is a trace on all of my accounts now. I get reports immediately on all acounts due to this problem.

So, the way it works is this. You send your address and I take the film requested to the UPS near me. I get a charge and sent that to you. You send me a check for the $$. You will get the film before I get your $$ so if you don't send it, I'm out the shipping and you have the film.

BTW, while hunting I found 1/2 box of Metallic Endura 8x10 and a few others I just won't mentioned or my house may be raided. :D

I have also found some expired print film and some other sheet films that I didn't write down. Aren't freezers fun?

Here is where the rubber hits the road!

Well guys, been looking and I've found one box of 4x5 Tech Pan. This is a 25 sheet box expired in 1991.

WooHoo. Anyone for this golden oldie?

If you find any more SXX in there, I'd be interested.

David, I'll look. I have a load of stuff and my wife, for some reason, wants food rather than film. :D

I have a dozen messages in less than 1 hour. I'll keep track of all of them and try to keep things in order and take care of everyone who sends me a PM.

PE,

Does that mean you did not de-ice your freezer since 1985...?
Did you have to employ an ice-pick now?

Well, fortunately, I do all the cooking in our house.

David I have some 4x5 Super XX exp 01/92, about half a 100 sheet box by the feel of it. I also have maybe 3/4 box of Royal pan same age and 2 full boxes of Panchro press type b exp 76.

I'm asking Sean to close this thread so that I can get busy sending the film out. However, take note that about 1/2 of those sending me PMs have not sent addresses, so if you don't get film, don't blame me. Please send the address so that I can send you the film if you are serious.

For those who have taken PE up on his offer--

I was just catching up on some scanning. Here's a shot from the VPS II (Bronica S2a, Nikkor 50/2.8, if I remember correctly)--

http://www.echonyc.com/~goldfarb/who/31a.htm

The raw scan was really green, and the negs have a visible magenta cast, but one can get something fairly normal looking without too much digital adjustment. I don't know how correctable it would be with a straight filter pack adjustment for conventional printing.

I've posted a shot from some SXX from PE's freezer in this thread--

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
