...and I'm wondering whether I should go and grab it. The guy who sells it wants EUR 150 for it, and since he doesn't have the installation CD for scanner's software, he's packing his old workstation along with the scanner. I presume this is ridiculously cheap for what is essentially photolab grade equipment, I haven't been able to find any listing at the auction site though.

I'm only shooting 35mm at the moment, and not even that much. For the same price I could have a slightly used Canon 9000F (these things still sell for EUR 200 new here).

Here is a link that gives a pretty good review. The caveats are that you'll need an oleder OS (win2000 and or XP) and the software. You may have already known all of this, but I thought it important incase you did not.
