Hi, I'm looking for a clean and good working 135mm or 150mm lens for my Linhof Tech V. Ideally it will be period matching Symmar convertible and on a Linhof board, but I'm happy to entertain other options that are compact (e.g. Xenar, Geronar) and can fit inside the Tech V when closed. I already pre-ordered a Lomo Instax Wide back, and plan to use the combo as a giant 4x5 point & shoot via scale focusing. Hope it is not insane. Thank you!

I have a 135mm Caltar S-II bought here on this Forum, it;s a rebadged Symmar S and superb, I also have a 135mm f4.7 Xenar and had a 135mm f4.5 Tessar. My advice is go for a Symmar or Symmar S rather then a Tessaar typwe 135mm, that's based on use

Yes, fully agree that a Symmar S or MC will have better optical quality. The consideration here is to have a small enough lens that can actually fit inside the Linhof while closed. Bob Salomon from LFF convinced me that it is not worth the effort to find a focus cam that actually works with the lens. So I will probably just get a generic small 135mm or 150mm lens, make my own focusing scale on the rail, and use zone focusing instead of the rangefinder.
