Perhaps this is a silly question, but I'm wondering if there are any USA members here that have actually ordered from the fotoimpex webshop and, more importantly, how did you pay? According to their "Shipping Service" page, it appears that I'll be charged more for shipping if I pay with a credit card or Paypal. If I pay through SOFORT banking, I guess the shipping charge would be less but I'm not about to enter my online banking login details on any website other than my actual bank!

Thanks for any insight provided.

I bought some European-sized sheet film a few weeks ago from them, and I used PAYPAL. They sent me an invoice without VAT, since I'm in the USA. Got the film quickly and no problems whatsoever.

Same with me. Paypal. I also purchased some stuff from them. Quick and easy. Reasonable shipping cost. Will order again soon.

I've bought from them, it was quite a while back, and I don't remember if it was CC or PP. Either way, shipping was reasonable and everything arrived in good time.

I ordered just a couple days ago, used a credit card ( mine allows you to generate a number for 1-time web shopping use ), no problems.

Thank you all for the feedback. I will definitely go with a credit card or Paypal; feels safer that way.

I have bought with Maco and used both PP and CC. I stop using PP when they upped their int fee to almost 10% of purchase price, so I pay the extra $3 us for the ability to use my CC. I usually make larger purchases to keep shipping down, so paying a $50 US fee is crazy. could have just been me. but check what PP will charge you to make a purchase in euro.

SOFORT banking is a very nice and convenient payment system inside the European Union, which appears to charge vendors less than credit cards and Paypal do, and the cost savings are passed on to the customer. AFAIK you don't enter your banking details to a web page run by the vendor, but actually into some web frame provided by SOFORT, so you as customer, get all the safety features and precautions of an established payment processo. The webshop just get a confirmation code after the transaction is complete, and never sees your banking details.

I would be quite surprised if this worked with bank accounts outside the EU.
