Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter for 4x5 Cameras with Graflok back

I wanted to know if anyone has used the Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter with a Graflok back?

I have a Crown Graphic and wanted to know how well this worked.

Are you sure you mean a lens mount adapter? I can tell you about a body mount adapter for 4x5 Graflok. You wouldn't want to put a lens on the back--where would the film go?

The one in the link above uses a Canon Camera lens mount.

I think the confusion here is that the adapter, which DOES go on the back, uses a Canon LENS mount to attach a Canon digital BODY (thus, a digital sensor) to the BACK in lieu of film.

Rather like the medium format digital backs (such as Phase One) that fit on various MF cameras such as Hasselblad and Mamiya.

I am not familiar with the Crown Graphic, but I have used this adapter (fro Nikon F mount) with a Cambo. It works fine, but is not a substitute for a proper LF or MF digital back. Be aware that it puts the sensor way behind the back, so focusing at certain distances with certain lenses is limited. Using live view and magnification makes focusing easier. It has presets for positioning the adapter to make multiple exposures to stitch together. It is also useful if you need the LF camera movements, but you may lose lens coverage because of the added distance to the sensor. Be aware the whole rig with adapter, digital camera and LF camera body gets big and heavy.

I was wondering if this would work better with a mirrorless camera since the sensor is closer?

Probably as long as they make the adapter. Using multiple adapters might just negate any advantage. Also, I would recommend a full-frame (FX) mirrorless camera.
