Fortezo is amazing!

My box of Forte Fortezo just arrived. I am not sure how many people have tried it, but it is simply amazing. Although Forte PWT is also amazing, I find Fortezo seems a tad 'richer' (for lack of better term), though this is not based on a huge trial.

I used Nuetol WA, and toned with selenium 1:20 (about 2.5 minutes) - the colour is just about what I would like. However, as Agfa is gone, I am wondering if anyone has experiences with other developers (Ilford Warmtone, for instance).

I like it best in non-warmtone developes myself. I've used Dektol, both Neutols, and a bunch of home brews. I hated it in Neutol WA, so its safe to say we have different tastes. Try a bunch before you settle on one though, its very responsive. If you use any stronger selenium solutions it will get out of hand quickly-thats assuming it reacts like Polywarmtone anyway. Its lovely paper.

I tried an experiment last week using same neg, printing on Fortezo, and comparing developing in Agfa Neutol WA with Ilford Warmtone. Could not see any discernible differences. Both create a very nice warm-tone print.

Thanks - that is good to know. I will get Ilford Warmtone when my Nuetol WA is out - thankfully, it appears to be the easiest 'warmtone' developer for me to get. I will also try Dektol - I liked the different tones it gives w/ PWT, so hopefully it will be similar with Fortezo.

Zonal Pro HQ gives esp. beautiful brownish warmtones with Polywarmtone. That would be my first try with Fortezo.

I've no experience with fortezo but swear by Ethol LPD for warmtone papers and forte FB paper. You dilute the stock to change the 'warmth'. It also has a _really_ long shelf and tray life. Cheap too, as long as you get the powder concentrate.
If you can find some, i'd honestly give it a try.

I was at some UK website the other day and they said that new Agfa chemicals from the new company would be coming in next month. Sorry I cant tell you which site it was, as I'm not in the UK I didnt pay close attention. But I presume that means it will be available everywhere soon.
