Yes, it looks like PanF+, but without too much of a contrast - and without deep black on negative, due to different silver grain size. Also, Forte 100 can be nicely reversal-processed - giving almost grainless transparencies, with soft gradation. A base fog is not a problem in my case, too. And it handles contrasts perfectly - I shot Oleg with a single light source, and see how well it prints! I wonder what Tmax would say in this situation...
Your picture caught my eye that time - and now we can see that was not only to nice esprit, but thanks also to Forte

QUOTE=jdef]I like Forte 100 very much. I shoot it in 120, in the form of Arista Edu. 100. I find it very similar in characteristics to Ilford Pan F+. It responds very well to the staining developers I use, and to PC-TEA. Forte 100 has a very clear base, so even shortdated/outdated film is probably useable, unless it's been stored poorly, or otherwise mistreated. At $1.29/roll from Freestyle, it's a bargain, and I've not had any problems with base fog. For 35mm shooters, Freestyle's repackaged Pan F+ is actually cheaper, at $17/100' roll. Both are excellent films. The attached image was shot on 120 Edu. 100, and developed in Hypercat to test the combo's ability to handle contrast in portraiture. The print looks much better than the scan.
