I find a roll of Fortechrom slide among my old stuff. It is 20+ years old. I would like to use it and develop it by myself. I would appreciate any advice about exposure. Thanks

Well, we are speaking likely of 40 years...

It is most probably rebranded Orwochrom UT18.

It is a 20DIN slide by the label. I bought around the late 80s by acciden and I forget about it.

Forte did not market colour films manufactured by themselves. So it will be a somewhat younger rebranded film. Maybe Orwochrom UT20.

Ok. I did not know that. I did not use slide until 10 years ago.
What do you think. Should I try it or just keep it in the case.

Personally I'd bin it, because it's very unlikely that the film uses the E6 process, so it would be a hassle developing it.

In case you are determined to develop that film and are ready to home brew: It supposedly requires the ORWO 9165 process, for which you can find a recipe (in German language) here. The color developer used in this process is listed as T-22 which may be better known as CD-1 or N,N-Diethyl-p-Phenylenediamine Sulfate.

Unless you're really into experimentation, it's probably not usable by now. But don't bin it, it's quite a nice collectable for those strange people, such as me, who like the design of old film cartons.
