It's been a couple of years since I have been in the darkroom. In that time, I've learned that Forte is no longer available. So today, I go to the B&H Photo website to see what my alternative might be, and I see lots of Forte paper supposedly for sale. Anyone know what gives?

They haven't run out yet. The same way they have/had Nikon LF format lenses.

Maybe B&H did a huge opportunity buy when Forte closed up shop.

It wouldn't surprise me. They've done that with other products that have a loyal following as they were being discontinued, like the Yashica T4s.

Be careful. A few months back, after the announced Forte discontinuance, I got 2 packages of 16x20 Fortezo from B&H and they were fogged. B&H's reply was that I had to contact the manufacturer for a refund or replacement.

In my opinion, Forte's last production were not as good as before. I bought Bergger paper (made by forte) and it is catastrophic: they are highly contrasted (I had to use Grade 0 to enlarge a soft negative, and eventhough, it's very hard) and react very stangely to selenium toning...
