Forscher Proback

I was wondering if anyone here has used a Forscher Proback. If so, how do they work? Do they use Polaroid pack film and are compatible with the currently made Fuji pack film? Do you get only one small contact sized image on the print or can you get more than one on each print? Thanks.

I had one for my Canon New F-1. It can use the smaller Fuji pack film, which I generally used even when there was Polaroid.

You can get two exposures on a frame. It's been a while, but if I recall correctly, there is a measuring strap, and you pull out the white tab to the end of the strap (line up the end of the strap with the end of the tab, hold both together between your thumb and forefinger, and pull until it stops) for the first exposure, then pull it out the rest of the way for the second exposure.

That is very cool. So if it works with 669 then it would be fine with Fuji's FB-100C/B and FB-3000B. Information seems to be sparse on these backs and I usually see them referenced as Proback II's. Do you know if that is the second generation of the product or just what it was called?

Not sure. I think the measuring strap for the second exposure was a later addition. Forscher also created or was enlisted to create NPC to produce the Proback after he left Professional Camera Repair, so that may have something to do with the II designation. You might look up Noah Schwartz on photo.net. He worked for Forscher and claims that he was responsible for much of the innovation on the Polaroid back for 35mm.
