Looks like a gaseous burst agitation plenum. Hooks up to a nitrogen or air line with a solenoid valve controlled by a mechanical timer. Either that or it could be a washer. Usually washers have less tubes and a bigger feed hose. The 1/4 inch compression fitting is consistent with a gas burst scenario as well. Those are hard to find.
