Hello,

I have a X-rite, Don't know the model.

However I have two choices of "Function", when reading the negative. On one side, underneath the button has a blue arrow, I am assuming that is for blue light. and a button on with red arrow, I am assuming that is for UV.

I am assuming: to plot for the correct curve, I will choose the appropriate function.

1. blue button for blue light work. chloro-bromide paper ( enlarging paper)
2. red button for UV work, salt print/Albumen.or any other print process that uses UV.

The read out with the blue button engaged, shows numbers that are consistant with numbers I read from other peoples/sources who use densitometers on "regular" discussions on "density verification". However, I have not seen any discussion on the read outs with red button engaged. so I am safe to assume that the red button is for UV?

does any one disagree?

if so, why? all elucidation is welcomed
