Reading though the posts here, I'm alittle suprised with all the folks who (including myself) "voted" for the Nikon F4...Eventho it's as solid as they come, and has alot of good features (for an "old" camera), it's still a big, wide, heavy camera.

Anyhow, along with my F4s, if I could have only one lens on it, it would have to be my (made in Japan) Nikkor 24-120mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-D lens. (But I'd want to have my Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF-D lens nearby.).

M9! Saying that on APUG!

I would probably used mine Mamiya RB67 or if ever could buy Linhof M679. But, if I just can second too, would love if could afford Leica MP or M6/M7, but mine Bessa R2A would be enough.

I was not an easy task as some post were somewhat ambiguous. And I think a little bit of aggregation is in order.

If one camera only, I would choose the most versatile and adaptable camera and format. Even though I think mostly in terms of 4X5 photography, a mechanical 35mm SLR would have my vote for the ONE camera to use. And that one would be a Nikon F2 with the plain prism and a 50/1.4 lens.

So, one vote for Nikon F2 with 50/1.4 lens.

I know! My OM2n recently ate the batteries. It was very disappointing not to be able to use the camera at all without them. I wish there was at least one mechanical speed.

Kodak Medalist 2. No batteries, 6x9 film size, great lens and able to shoot sheet film. A little heavy but build like a tank.

If I had to pick one camera I own or have owned, it would be my current workhorse a Mamiya 645AF. I have fallen head over heels in love with this camera, enough that I have sold off all my digital equipment to feed the beast with film. Though, since I was just handed a Medalist 2 to mess around with (after repairs), this answer may be subject to change.
