I have a green label Contac G1 camera equipped w/ the Zeiss Sonnar 90 2.8 lens. The camera is in excellent condition and functions perfectly. Pretty clean, w/ just a few scuffs, mostly on the back door. Nothing major at all. No LCD bleed, no focus issues. It also has the original Contax strap and leather lug protectors. The Sonnar 90 2.8 is a really, really good lens! However, there is a cosmetic blemish on the barrel which is near the bottom and doesn't show much at all when mounted on the camera. Should be easy to touch up, or just leave it alone and shoot the thing. The lens overall shows little signs of use, especially on the lens mount, and the optics are as clean as can be. $370 plus shipping. US sale, and I'll take paypal from a confirmed US address, a personal ck (will need to clear before shipping) or a US postal money order.
I know, it sounds funny. The label means it can take additional lenses (the 28mm I think). If I remember correctly, the cameras had trouble focusing w/ certain lenses and were upgraded later to address this. The label means it's been updated and can use all of the G lenses.
Many were originally silver labels in the film chamber. 21mm and 35mm lens came out after the silver label camera bodies were produced. If you wanted to use those lenses with a silver label body you sent it in to be upgraded to handle those lenses with the AF system and a green label was put stuck over the silver one.
