Congo 300 mm f6.3 lens (made in Japan) in Copal No.3S shutter. MINT +++++++++++ (Probably New) Covers all large format up to 8x10.
In original box. Front and rear lens caps - original Congo. I can't say it is new because I don't know for sure - but it looks new and unused. What I can say is:
The glass is pristine, no marks, nothing, the lens body is perfect in every way, the shutter body is unblemished, the shutter blades are spotless (new) the aperture blades are spotless (new). My guess this is new stock left on a shelf. The mounting flange is the dead giveaway - it has never been mounted on a board.
I have run through all the shutter speeds and they sound great. ( Purchaser should get them checked anyway). Crisp and quick. Aperture detents are firm.
Please refer to all the photos and you be the judge. This is excellent +++++ in every way.
The Copal 3 shutter alone (today's version) sells for $1100+ from B&H. This lens setup was selling 20 years ago for $1250.
The Congo is a complete 8x10 f6.3 300 mm lens mounted in a shutter with aperture scales attached. You have to get this done for a second hand shutter. Just mount on a lens board and shoot.
So my asking price is $995.00 Oz dollars ONO. Postage varies depending on where you live in the world. PM me for details.

I already have a 300mm Taylor Hobson Cooke in a Copal 3 and don't need another 300 mm.
I have 400+ positive feedbacks on that other site.
Asking $995.00 ONO Australian Dollars.
