Dallmeyer Stigmatic II No 6. Lens. Dates to 1904. Will cover 12x15" stopped @ f/16 and will cover whole plate at f/6 (see advertisement). 10.7" Eq. Focus. This unique 5 element lens is also a "triple convertible" by using the either the whole lens, the front combination or the rear combination. See the full description at the bottom of the ad attached, but you have 10.7" Eq Focus with the whole lens, 16" with the front combination and 21.5" with the rear combination. You end up with an antique lens that can be modestly wide angle to modestly telephoto.
Condition - Lens has original flange. Aperture works fine ( many, many blades). Glass is clean and clear (no haze) but does show signs of 115 years of age with stray cleaning marks, some dust between elements and some balsam (glue) showing at extreme edge with slight separation in one spot, which is common on highly curved groups. All in all, good antique glass, but not perfect. Glass is an 8-, rest of lens 9- with no dings or dents.
Getting harder and harder to find reasonably priced glass for larger format coverage. $ 399 plus shipping.
