I 'sold' this on eBay, but the winning bidder took days to respond & just wanted to haggle about me throwing in the Minus Blue (12), Red (25A) filters/holders & shipping for a lower-than-bid price! I told him how that could be done by eBay rules...no response and I cancelled the transaction 10 days later.
2nd chance offer to 2nd bidder was 'watched' for the duration with no communication. So maybe that's the wrong venue.
I bought this many years ago barrel-mounted on a weird helicoid that was telescope or 35mm diameter. The piece of tape with f-stop numbers is on the rear half, which was in front of the helicoid.
I had a machinist cut off the helicoid adaptation, leaving a large tube that has three set screws. It serves as a light trap and retaining ring against the back of the lens board. The lensboard opening was sanded to a very snug fit but the rear retainer tube is needed because it's the retainer.
Iris is continuously adjustable from f-2.5-16 and moves smoothly.
The rear glass had pretty severe brown color centers. I cleared it by suspending the rear cell directly over a 6-tube BL fluorescent UV plate burner for 27 days...I was aiming for 30 days but my wife needed to get to that part of the basement & I didn't want to explain the purple glow & unplugged the source. (No, dear, it's not Three Mile Island).
You can see how much improved the glass is. I also have a picture of the brown glass before UV-treatment, and the UV setup with the 309/2.5 cell and an entire 610/6 because I couldn't unscrew its cells.
Glass is not perfect but it is very good. Better than most of the bad half-lenses I see on eBay.
A couple years ago Whitey Morange told me he had a friend who would take it for $500 if I was going to sell it.
The winning eBay bid was $482 and the 2nd one was $477. Gotta wonder why people bid if not interested...
If you want it removed from the lens board I'll have to leave that to you...I have three trigger fingers (tenosynovitis) and need to get steroid injections...I can't physically do it.
Box is 14"x14"x14" and weighs 17#.
I have started using PirateShip.com for corporate 3rd party rates for USPS and UPS the carriers won't give you directly. Shipping was about $30 to an Oregon freight forwarder. I had calculated the add'l size & weight to add the filters in a larger box and it increased (dimensional weight) to about $48. (From Michigan).
Rates to overseas destinations was substantially discounted...I think about $125 to Hong Kong at the current size/weight.
I am not listing the red/yellow filters at this time.
My seller 'cred' is zero here, but I just hit 750 at 100% feedback on eBay.
I hope the photos aren't thumbnails...I saved them from the eBay listing that ended.
