for curiosities sake

I've come across a fine Cromega D color printer, a couple lenses, the plates to hold the film,the voltage reg and spare bulbs

Question is is it worth putting up for sale or just it junk and/or part it out

I have no idea what a 6310 printer is but if you are calling the head 'big' perhaps this is the older non-dichroic, non-halogen Chromega D head? Can you confirm what it is or what it looks like? That would dictate its value. The lenses may be junk or worthwhile to use, it depends on what they are.

I Believe it is a Super Cromga D dichoric, by checking on KHB site. Will have to wait for my friend to lug it over to confrm. I got a look at it in his garage when he asked me if I wanted it.
as for lenses I have :
Schneider Componon-S5.6/135
Rhodenstock Omegatron 1:3.5 50mm
Bogen 1:3.5 40mm
and four spare halogen bulbs

I guess you could PM for my address. Once I actually get it ,I will post a couple pics and see if I'm missing anything

So you have the top of the line 4x5 dichroic head and a top of the line 135mm lens. I had a fellow APUG user send me a similar head for the price of shipping and (there was a url link here which no longer exists) and passed it along to a friend. Whatever you do, don't throw it out!

I may have an interest, at least in the head. I'm in wonderful Brooklyn, NY so shipping may be moot.

When you get it together I'd like to see some pix.

Now in theory, I could make a 4x5 projector out of this by removing the dichoric head,putting in a new light source, and mounting a projector type lens at the front.
The only thing would be the IR blocking glass--they don't make them that big any more.

Not a problem Bruce once I get the pieces lined up I'll post the pics and see what we can do
