Hello, I will shortly have a 35mm roll of Fomapan 100 (exposed at ISO 100) to develop and I will use replenished D23. Has anyone used this combination and if so, can you suggest a time/temp combination, please? I found an example on Flickr that was developed for 8 minutes at 20°C. However the Massive Dev Chart suggests 11 minutes at 20° for non-replenished D23 stock, so I would expect to need 10-30% extra time on this.
Thanks,

I haven't used d23 in years, but I have used Foma 100 a lot. I think it wise to always go a little light on the developing times recommended since foma 100 and 400 built contrast really fast. Also, the MDC times are not written in stone, so to speak, since the entries are submitted my folks just like you and not manufactures. I think I would try D23 1+1 times and go 10% light on those times also. Just a starting point until somebody else chimes in.

I generally start with +15% of the D-76 time for replenished D-23.

Hi, thanks. I'm using well seasoned D23 which I replenish with DK-25R after each use. I won't be able to do a 1+1 dilution since this will mess up the replenishment.

I wasn't talking about you going with D23 1+1, but to just use the times for D23 1+1 with your D23 replenished. I guess I didn't make myself very clear on that one. I use XT-3 replenished( same as Xtol replenished). and starting times with that are pretty much the same as Xtol 1+1 times. That's why I suggested maybe using D23 1+1 times to give it a try.

I see. Massive Dev Chart only has time for the stock solution unfortunately, but I'll do a search for this. Thanks

I guess you mean D76 1+1? That would be 10' at 20° for Foma 100, so + 15% = 11.5'. Thanks

No. I meant stock.

Time for Fomapan 100 in D76 stock is 6-7 minutes. Makes 8 minutes in D-23 replenished about right.
