Hello,
I bought fomapan 400 weeks ago,it was literally a bargain, but now I am not sure about using it with my matchbox camera.I have little experience with using slower films, like 100 and 200 ISO,but not with BW 400. I am going to capture winter landscape with it.What shutter speeds are ideal? Any experience? Thanks for replies!

When you used the slower films, how did you determine the exposure?

Use half the time you normally used for 200 ISO film.

Foma makes good films, but they do have reciprocity issues with long exposures. You may want to try a few shots with the same exposure you normally use for 100 or 200 ISO film.

If I had a pinhole camera that gave me a good exposure on a sunny day with ISO 100 film at 2-seconds and a good exposure on a sunny day at 1-second with ISO 200, then I would try a 1/2 second exposure if I were using ISO 400 film in that camera on a sunny day.
