Hey everyone...

Just took some pinhole shots as a test with a new camera that I have. Developed these and had some weird spots appearing on the images. It looks like there is some sediment left on the negs but not 100% sure would love some opinions on this. Going to be doing a lot more pinhole in the next few months and don't want the same again. Possibly it needs to be dissolved more or filtered?

Were you using a Jobo processor or hand inversion?

I have had this when my fixer has bits of silver floating in it. I can pour it through a coffee filter but it can get bad enough that I have to (properly) dispose of it and mix a new batch.

You might try re-fixing with fresh fixer and see if it helps.

Yeah tried to refix it but with no luck. The fix was fresh made up for this mind so shouldn't have been that.

With Foma film I:_

dont prebath
use a plain water stop
plain sodium thiosulphate fix
hold all temperatures to better then 1C of previous bath, including HCA and Ilford archival wash

if you must use an acid stop I'd dilute it a lot more than normal.

But I do squeegee it and although it is clearly less (ie not) prehardened (than/like) Kodak or Ilford film, not had problems like yours yet.

Sorry this is unrelated, but WOW, that's from a pinhole? Thats pretty sharp, must be a very tiny, precisely cut pinhole you have!

If its a pinhole image did you have a filter on it, if yes then my bet is dust on the filter.

Thanks everyone I have been tied up with work but I have been out today and shot a few more images. Will hopefully not have any problems this time.
It is a 0.35 pinhole on the camera I have btw, it is a Harman Titan 5X4.

I didn't know Spain had a President, only a King.

I concur. This has been my experience as well, your filters must be spotless. Every bit of haze, speck of dust, or dried water spot will show in the negative.
