I'm a big fan of the graded Foma papers for certain images. So far I've only used the glossy, and have found a significant percentage of prints end up scratched, presumably from other prints in the holding tray. Two questions: (a) is the matte surface any less sensitive, and (b) does the matte surface present any problems in scanning. I suppose the last part can be applied to matte papers in general. I need to scan prints for publication, so it's important to get a clean high res scan.

No one has used this paper in the 112 version (matte)? I just dug up an old Variant 123 (velvet surface) print from a while back, and it is too textured for scanning, so I'm hoping the 112 is smoother.

If Fomabrom Variant 112 is anything to go by, than I can say the surface is very smooth, with no texture at all.

Great! Thanks. Have you noticed any issues with scratching?

No issues with scratching or with anything else. Fomabrom is a brilliant paper but bare in mind that matte is my preffered surface in FB so I'm biased (I don't crave for max blacks or other such qualities associated with glossy paper).
