I'm nearing the end of the Foma paper I picked up in '08 when I was in Washington. (The only trip I've made to Washington State in 3+ decades of living in BC, so it is not a frequent occurence.) I'm really enjoying it for lith printing. Is there anywhere in Canada to order Foma papers? How about lith developers? If I have to order from the States, is there a "best" place to deal with?

I think that Beau Photo in Vancouver might have Foma. I was there a year and a half ago and it was in stock then, at least.

Freestyle.

Sly,

I order all my papers from Freestyle. I like the selection better, and depending on the currency exchange, can still work out cheaper than buying paper here in Canada. That being said, my favorite size is 9.5x12, which is not carried in North America at all, so then I order direct from Foma (!). In any event, it's worth shopping around.

Rachelle,

I do not know that Foma do small-size orders. I guess you refer to that shop/post-order company in Prague.

You're probably right AgX -- it's been a while since I've ordered...I do know that it was based in the Czech Republic, just assumed it was Foma direct (my Czech is not so great). In any event, I can't find the link to that site anymore. I'm sure if I dig around I'll find it again.

What about lith developer? I've been using Maco superlith, but am curious about others I've heard about. Are Wolfgang Moersch's formulations available in NA yet?

Sly,

Again, they are at Freestyle, and it looks like most of the chemicals can be shipped to Canada, although the fact that they are liquids will probably raise the shipping fee a bit. I don't know if they are available in Canada yet at all.

I called Beau - they have RC Foma papers, and one box of FB, but not the warmtone stuff I've been using. They don't have any lith developers. So I guess I'll get in touch with Freestyle

Freestyle won't ship some "hazardous" chemicals out of the continental US. Some fixers and toners fall into this category, including at least some of the lith toners.

Canada only because of shipping.
I am placing a significant order of Lith Developer in the near future. Those interested can email me at bob@elevatordigital.ca.
5 litre containers only of AB not sure of the price yet, this is Rollie Vinatge.
This is the dev I have been using for years .

For Moersch Lith, I order directly from Wolfgang Moersch. It took at the most 5 days for delivery and the shipping cost was not higher than Freestyle.
