Is there any of this paper left anywhere in the world?
Do any other papers come close to this?
As soon as I decided to only use this paper is was discontinued by Foma because the paper base was to expensive to manufacture.
You can pick up the 532 Nature on a whiter base also.
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
I was told by a European distributer of Foma, that the paper will continue although stockists are announcing that it is discontiunued. Foma were supplying samples in January of a new version with a base made in the far east. I haven't checked out the very latest progress.
Bergger Prestige Fine Art Portrait (Silver Supreme) is similar although not a cream as the 542.
I hope it does continue- I too have just discovered this paper, printed on it today and was blown away. Never thought a matte surface could look better than fiber base glossy.

Kentmere used the same base for its much loved Art Classic and after the base was discontinued they searched far and wide looking for a coatable replacement with similar properties. Sadly they were unable to find one. It appears to have been unique.

At this moment at Silverprint we've got a few boxes of 50sh 542 in 9.5x12", maybe 30 packs of 10sh 20x24", and some 40" x 10m rolls. All the 532 has gone. We had some samples from Foma in January of a new trial paper, but this was a warm(ish) stipple, rather like the Kentmere Fineprint Warmtone FG.
